Well I must say I'm not impressed with Samsung support or Costco support for that matter. My girlfriend 2 1/2 years ago made the jump from 19" TV to Samsung 56" dlp rear projection tv. just two weeks ago, the first white dot appeared in the middle of the screen. Now there's over 36 white dots all over the screen!!!! Freakin throw away piles of junk they charge you $2k for, that last less than 3 years!!!! I still have the tv set that I bought in 94, & it still works great & I paid only $800. There's something wrong with this picture!!!! more than just white dots!!!

My 6 year old $1800 Hitachi rear projection (not DLP) still works great. And I never cleaned the mirrors.

I have several Samsung lcd monitors and a 46" Samsung LCD TV. I've never had any problems with any of their products to date (knock on wood....conveniently enough I have an erection right now) so I've never had to deal with customer service/support.

On the other hand, I will never buy a Viewsonic product again. I've had problems with two Viewsonic monitors I've owned and the customer support wasn't there. They bounced my emails and phone calls around and ignored me to a point where I just gave up and pledged never to buy their products anymore.

I think it's just a game of chance and the best you can hope for is that your purchase was not manufactured on a Monday or Friday, because dealing with any company's customer support will likely be a nightmare.

And fill out the fucking warrantee/register your purchase as soon as you get it home!
