So the other day i installed Elder Scrolls Oblivion and it was running fine. However once i broke out of prison and got outside (for those of you who know the story line) anytime i killed something it would crash to desktop, as long as i was inside a building killing anything was fine.
So i figured i would update my ATI drivers on my radeon 9800 pro (dont laugh) to see if that would help and now after i have done that every game i try and load crashes. As you can guess this is every annoying, anyone have a clue as to whats going on?

I had problems with the 7.9 CAT drivers also, HadA suggested using Omega drivers >> www.omegadrivers.net/ << and the problems were solved. Try em d00d

I had problems when i tried the omega drivers! So i downloaded the latest catalyst, all is fine.
I was angered that the omega didnt work too, because they are more performance related.

Thanks for the advice filthy but i actually did that as soon as ATI drivers were giving me problems. For those of you using Omega drivers, whats your experience been like with them? On a side note i had to even back track farther down the drivers list, I'm running 6.5 now, anything higher then that and my games wont load

Try uninstalling the drivers, reboot. run driver cleaner, can get at www.Guru3d.com. Then delete your old ATI folder, reboot. Then when back into windows install new drivers, reboot. Should be all good. i had similar issues with my old ATI hardware.
