i really wouldn't worry about it, just go vista, at first it will take some getting used to, but then you will start to find you really like it and then pretty soon, you end up liking it more then XP Really nothing to worry about IMHO. The reports of bad vista are not NEARLY as bad as those people want you to think.

My only complaint with Vista after the past few months is the lil inconviniences (think i fucked that spelling up...fuq'et) of features that i loved about xp that are gone and that running it on this lappy that is rated pretty well, but for some reason (i feel like its vista) the performance is drug down.
I'm no techy tho.

What features are missing? everything XP had is there and then some. as for Vista you should prolly go thorugh and remove all the POS crap from it that was installed, as well as set it all up for running on your laptop, as it can run really really well when setup properly.
