Ok, screw all of you who dissed my 360. Ya some games sucked like COD and King Kong, but this is what the 360 is about, Gears of War. I picked up my reserved copy today and i'm really impressed, even though i can't stand 3rd person shooters, i love this game. Some said it was supposed to be as good as or better than Halo...err not quite. Halo created its own gaming genre, Legendary, games that are so totally badass and original, that other games have to copy off of it just to get people to buy it. But Gears is pretty damn close to it. I haven't played the online mode yet but single is pretty sweet. Grenades on chains that you swing around and lob at enemies, chainsaw bayonets, brutal melee, awesome graphics and a fairly decent storyline to boot. but hell, i'm only maybe 1/16 through the game, so i'll give ya more info on it later on, but so far, this game is badass and anyone who has a 360 must get it or i'll eat your pet goldfish and throw the carcass at you after i poop it out. Until then, see ya.

Had it pre-ordered too. It is probably the single most impressive shooter that I have seen in a very long time, both visually and game mechanics. Just glancing at the game and reading the bullet points you may quickly dismiss it as a pretty shooter with a couple gimics, but you'd be doing yourself a grave mis-justice if you don't delve deeper and actually research the game. The cover system is the best one that I have seen yet, not only can you get in and out of cover quickly and efficently, but you can move from cover to cover just as easy. Add in the blind fire option, leaping over cover, the lack of magical healing packs laying about, and some fast pace strategic shooting and you have one incredible experiance. The single player game is simply amazing and has some very clever sequences (read, pushing a burning hulk of a car down the street at night for cover and to keep the nocturnal critters from evicerating you) that add a very interesting dimention and strategy to the game. Multiplayer is just as fun and runs silky smooth as did the single player game which amazed me for how good the graphics were with a crazy amount of action going on at the same time. All in all it would be a damn shame to miss this game if you are a shooter fan. Movies: media.xbox360.gamespy.com/media/747/747891/vids_1.html-Sniper
