I'm very interested! Still love L4D, and the demo for 2 was as teasing as moist white panties on a hot chick, but showed it to be awsome.

It's preloaded on my machine!
The way I look at it, it doesn't matter if you consider it an expansion or not. The enjoyment of the game is based on the L4D community's acceptance. If the game draws a large online following it can be considered a success. If I log on and can't get a game going because nobody's playing, it's a failure.
I've dropped $50 on some original games (Call of Juarez and HAWX recently) that had potential to be great games, but nobody played them. Therefore, I'd consider them a failure.
Though the L4D community seems split on this game (some feel it was too ambitious, released too soon and will take away from the support of L4D), many within the community seem really excited about it.....I for one.
I think I'll get my money's worth out of L4D2.

Yeah, i see all the COD:MW2 emblems beside your names thats great! But I really like how well Valve's games work for my post-dualcore rig. lol My welfare rig. Besides, I love the hell out of L4D and L4D2, judging by the demo, is going to be much more challenging with the special infected from the original and then new special infected on top of that. I have a feeling it will be epic. If your worried about it feeling like an expansion....isnt that was sequels are? IDK, my interest really comes from a difficulty perspective. L4D was challenging if you had good teams in versus, played survival, or played co-op in expert. Otherwise it was too easy, imo. But L4D2 looks to be much more challenging. ...........and as a shotty lover....i LOVE the combat shotgun...

After playing for a couple weeks.... This is a VERY fun game, but the players make it hard for me to like this game.
1. Total noobs that suck so bad they won't learn from their mistakes (Everyones a noob once, but after the 10th time they don't follow the basic rules like...separating from the pack. Please shoot me!)
2. Raging hardcore players. Yeah they are good teammates..but as soon as you fuck up one play, be prepared to get bashed over the mic or atleast snide rude comments.
Too bad I run into the ragers more often. Its like... do I really want to fire up L4D2 and play with dilwads??

I've noticed a lot more ragers in gaming PERIOD. Seems like the population of the "rage quitter" or "rage gamer" has risen greatly over just the past year. Just my personal observation.
....damn emos....
