When ever I start up BF2 and after I'm in the game, it crashes and completely re-boots the PC. I found out it is due to a bugcheck. as follows : Event Type: Information Event Source: Save Dump Event Category: None Event ID: 1001 Date: 9/12/2006 Time: 10:08:21 PM User: N/A Computer: HAL-9000 Description: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x100000d1 (0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xf71de505). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini091206-01.dmp. For more information, see Help and Support Center at go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. Did some checking and others have had the same problem with other applications. So I downloaded and installed the latest drivers for my Vid card, which fixed it for them but not for me. If any of you have heard of this HELP.

Several of us have experienced the same thing (crash back to desktop). I never thought too much about it because BF2 has a a reputation for being a little buggy. I normally fired it back up and it usually ran on the second attempt.
Sorry this is not really helping, but just so you know, your not alone.

...So Hada should be getting a call soon ? ! ;D Yes believe it or not I would have to agree with Mepps ;D When I first got BF2 I was using an older 9600 and the dam thing just wouldn't play without crashing until I turn the graphics down

No didn't work settings turndown was no help. Since I tested the ram I now just get a BSOD, blue screen of death. It does not just re boot any more. I'll try to load Nam and see what happens.

Well after months of intense log searching and getting in up to my elbows in data, I finally fixed my game. It's called the 4.41 battlefield Patch . The latest from EA, It's about fucking time.
