1. "Way" is spelled properly although "Why" should have been used
2. "because" should not have been used to start the sentence (being it was it should have been capitalized)
3. "dose" is spelled properly although "does" should have been used
4. "a" should have been inserted between "is" and "bitch"
Spell check?!?! How about grammar check, word usage check, sentence structure check, or omfgwtfisthis check?!?!?! I would go further into this but in the end it is the internet!

Lojack thanks for the Spell, grammar, usage, sentence structure check, but it is a joke so relax. The point is not whether it is spelled right but whether you get the meaning of the joke. That is what I think so drink a beer and/or take a bong hit and come play some CS. 8)

I don't think those ideas are mutually exclusive Rusty. I believe what the others are getting at is that it would have been easier to get the joke if the grammar was better. Communication requires the subtleties of grammar unless your message is simple enough for semaphore (that's those sailors who wave flags as signals, before I get in trouble for using another big word). You're right, it's not big deal if we don't get a joke. But in my experience, it has a pretty big affect on a lot of people's careers.

The grammar in your math line is fine and will serve you well. Obviously it's a skill you can turn on when you need it. Good for you. Seriously. I used to have a big network job, and you wouldn't believe the percentage of people we didn't hire simply because of grammar. It's a far more important skill than most schools let on for about 10 years. I see they're--at least in Edmonton--starting to recognize that was a very serious oversight in the era of "never fail anyone." Failure is part of life. It teaches far more than success. To be honest, I'm relieved to see you can do it when you want to. It's gonna be a shame that a lot of bright people won't get very far because no one's going to be able to ascertain that they're actually bright.
Are you still into math? Have you read any Douglas Hofstadter?

Hi Lojack No worries man but to tell you the truth most of the time when I'm posting stuff on the forum I'm drunk and/or high so my grammar takes a flying leap out of a window. LoL All thou in school it was the hardiest thing for me to learn and I have trouble with it from time to time so no worries be happy.  PS: Whoring so when did this start? LoL |

Yes you are right I can turn it on when I really wont to or if I'm not fucked up and I do know how important it is in getting a job. I'm a certified drafter by day and a gamer by night. LoL
I think you are right about the "never fail anyone" you do learn more.
Douglas Hofstadter no I have never read anything of his why is he good?

Hofstader is great at showing how math appears in every day life. For instance, he's famous for doing mathematical diagrams of music. He's got a lot of cool books out, and for all I know he still teaches at Stanford. A friend of mine had him as a prof and said he was one of the most brilliant and engaging people he'd ever met. His stuff isn't super accessible, but to someone with some curiosity and an interest in math, it's comprehensible.
