Hey guys. I don't post much around here but I figured after like...what 9-11 years maybe I should post more often. Anyone here into automotives? Old, new, domestic, foreign? I myslf grew up with Japanese import bias, but after working in a Ford dealership for my apprenticeship...even I can appreciate older muscle. Anyways..heres a pic of my current project. Its Mazda convertible..I always wanted one when I first sat in one that is equipped with force induction with around 220whp. It may not seem much, but for a sub 2200 pound car. It will for sure be on par with a 5.0 Mustang. Anyways. Here she is... Its yellow like my toolbox. And...I get enough gay comments as it is so I won't mind. Surprsingly for a 'chick' car, I mainly get thumbs up for the older folks. The younger crowds don't even know what it is! ![](http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/vv316/aphongt/miata2.jpg) Aftermarket springs, struts, 2.5" exhaust system w/ Magnaflow dual pipes...Powered by a T25 turbo from a Nissan 240sx. Currently its parked in the garage and I'm starting to tear it down to install its new aftermarket engine computer. Going to do some body work during the winter...and pulling the engine to do a mild rebuild. Anyways here she is. I hope you guys post up your rides whether or not its a sports car or a yellow chick car..for that matter. Or even if you aren't into these things. Just put it in the thread!

Thanks Anjel. Its scary driving this thing... since my head is almost level with the rear bumpers of larger trucks and suvs. If I get in a really bad rear end. My head might be chopped off ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

The Miata is a great weekend road-tripper. And if it hauls ass, even better. I'm ashamed to admit I'd never have the time to do this.

Thats awsome, Enforced! I didnt realize you were a mechanic. I just started with a mechanic and am pretty much doing an apprenticeship as well, but I never went to tech school first or anything. I've just always worked on my own cars. Shop books and getting my hands dirty. But since working at a full-service garage (Grunmiere Fleet Maintenance Solutions) I've grown my knowledge ten times what it had before and I just started two weeks ago. I have a 99 Cherokee 4x4 with the 4.0L str8 6. Now that I am making money and have use of a real shop with multiple lifts, I'm going to be doing some upgrades to make my jeep a beast. We'll have to keep our projects posted. Although, you are already way ahead of me. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) I'm finishing up replacing an engine in a '98 Chevy Z-71. I used to like chevy until i started having to work on 'em...

Synthetic, thats great to hear! Automotive mechanics is pretty fun and especially satisfying when you do finish the repairs. I started off doing lube/oil maintenances/tires for a year and a half then started getting to the real stuff. I'm still green with 3 years of experience though. I'm looking for a new employer right now since I quit at a bad time. Its still slow around here in Alberta but hopefully it'll pick back up. I applied just about everywhere... Throw some pics up of your rides will ya? Can't have an automotive thread without em ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Kaz, that is slick. I got my motorcycle license a year ago. I bought a piddly small ass bike to start off...CBR.....wait for it...wait for it... 125. lol going on the highway was nuts. I'm barely hitting 95kms/hr bouncing off the rev limiter on the 6th gear while other cars for zooming by at 110-120km/hr. It was funner in the city though. I loved it. I can't wait to get my hands on a bigger bike.
