Havent been able to play anything this week. Unfortunately, my ISP is having some problems with reliability and not having server that can REACH the speed of dial-up. (average incoming speed is 5-10 kbps) I dont know if its everyone else in the town having the same issue, but have heard 2 other business and 1 residential complaining about the same problem. We're all paying for the premium service, but way things have been going this week, may aswell throw our dialup modems back in a pay $11/mnth. *sigh* We're doing speakeasy.com/speedtest every 2 hours to judge any differences in the day (i do the late night, 2 AM) and the highest download spd is still only 250 kbps with the average in the past three days being 48kbps. Nice, eh? For those who keep asking, this is my ISP as of right now: www.dockline.net/business.html (we're the premium ) Looking like we're gonna make the switch to DSL with peak of 5mbps...its still $40...

Nah, but i have a feeling i will be. I just hopped on here tonight (Sunday 27th, 830pm) tried to check email, attempted CSS. This connection is still worse than dial-up in numbers. No bueno (meaning No Good for you non espanish speaking ppl, lol) SUPPOSEDLY, the owner of the ISP that we (the business) are on will be coming by tomarrow to deal with the issue personally. The other tech guy wont come around here anymore because he gets pissed off at the fact that i question everything he does as far as antenna placement, this netgear router he has us using, and over-all just doesnt like a "guy who didnt go to college" trying to question how he runs things. LOL Anyway, if the guy shows up tomarrow and squares things away, than [the business] will not be switching to DSL. However, if nothing comes out of his visit and we still have speeds that suck ass, [the business] will be switching to DSL (which is where i'd rather go anyway). Unfortunately here in this shit-hole of a town, theres no support for cable internet....i miss my cable modem. I'll keep you updated. Meanwhile, I'm getting a lot of studying in on these books of sailmaking/sail design that i've been reading/taking notes on to work my way into getting a better job. So thats a plus i guess. Maybe i'm supposed to take a break....but there is NOTHING to do here in the wet/cold winter of Oriental, NC. ....Gaming/internet is what keeps me sane.... and my dog...

Connection is fixed! Yeah, the ISP was running like shit last week, but that was masking the fact that my onboard ethernet was burnt out. LOL Thinking it might have happened when my PSU went couple weeks ago. Luckily, I still had my old ethernet card so i just popped'er in the slot and i'm back running fine. Anyway, i'm still not cable blazing fast, but i am up to 750 kbps dl, so i feel better anyway. See you on the games tonight, my friends! ;D
